Company Care
Company Care is an occupational medicine service functioning as a department within Putnam Community Medical Center. The offices are located within the Emergency Department of the hospital.
The purpose of Company Care is to meet the needs of the businesses by providing employers with pre-employment, employment and workers' compensation services. Other services may be offered according to customer needs, i.e., immunizations, X-rays, pulmonary function tests, EKG's, work-site assessments, education, etc.
Company Care may provide:
Pre-employment, annual, and DOT physicals
Exams and additional tests are performed according to employers' specifications
Collection site for urine drug screens according to employers' specifications
Collection form and services through a contracted testing lab may be provided if employer prefers
Breath/Blood Alcohol Testing
(1)Breath alcohol testing according to manufacturer/training specification; (2)Blood alcohol according to testing labs' specifications
Workers' compensation injury/illness evaluation, treatment, and follow-up
(1) Injury/illness evaluation, treatment, and follow-up by physician; (2)Communication with employers, adjusters, and case managers by telephone, fax, and mail
On-Site Services
Physical therapy, occupational therapy, laboratory, and imaging services are readily available
Company Care maintains regular office hours Monday-Friday. Twenty-four hour coverage may be provided through Putnam Community Medical Center's Emergency Department for evaluation/treatment with follow-up through Company Care.
